We stayed at the State Park on the Island. This was great. There were many places for the kids to ride bikes and a playground at the end of street we were camping on.
| Everyone we passed said, "Wow, 7 boys and 1 girl." I think she handles it just fine. . . |
On Friday we hit the beach. The sand was soft and the water was warm.
The kids really enjoyed it because they could walk out really far before it got too deep.
After a day in the hot sun, we went downtown to cool off with some ice cream.
The Island is fairly small and we decided to rent golf carts and drive around to see the whole thing.
You would have laughed if you could have seen the look on people's faces when we walked anywhere with 8 kids ages 10 and under!!!
Pete got a lot of great photos for future paintings!
It was a beautiful place!
And we enjoyed a meal NOT cooked over the campfire!
Still more to come. . .

Looks like a great time with great friends! Wonderful!!
love all of it!!!! Esp like the photo of Henry in the first post (such a handsome boy!), all your kids on the huge adirondack chair, and the one of your family in front of the boats. So awesome! Great choice for camping! Some of my best memories were going to Lakeside and Put-In-Bay with Mary those few years! LOVED it! So glad all of you had a great time! The passers-by probably were thinking, "wow...8 kids, but, wow...look how well they are behaved with their parents!" You guys are amazing!
